Cocona
Cocona is my third figure to be based on Shunya Yamashita illustration, it was suppose to be Non-non, but decided not to get her and grab Cocona instead. I very much prefer Cocona anyway ^^. I got her from my local store since they were selling her at a good price. Even get to choose from the available 3 boxes, but since they look the same to me, I just simply grab one.
Prior to seeing the figure prototype, I have never seen the illustration that she’s based on so I am not sure how accurate is the work. Now that I have her and comparing to the illustration in front of the box there are some difference in color, but it’s not too bad, though I kinda like the illustration color better. Beside that there’s suppose to be a pigtail version as well, but didn’t see it at any online store.
Of all the figures that I have in my collection, Cocona have the biggest base, it’s as width as the box she came in. I took a picture of the base in one of my previous post. Fortunately she can stand without the base; otherwise I would really have a problem, finding a place to display her.
The design of the sword is really cool, and the sword is huge too.
Her ahoge is probably the weakest part of the figure, long and thin, have to be careful not to break it.
Her skirt is really short when view from the back, so pantsu view ^^.
She have a sort of tail that extend from her armor, looks cute ^^. The flower on her hair is nice too, as well as the ribbon on her leg. The design of her armor and costume is quite nice and sexy. One thing I’ll never understand is why fantasy based female figure are always scantily clad but the male are usually in full armor, hmm female need less protection XD.
Her face sculpt is not very accurate though and looks kinda clownish at certain angle, too bad since the face on the illustration is quite cute.
Remembered that I have a horse, that belong to another figure, let’s see if anyone can guess which figure and it’s not Japanese pvc XD. Thought the horse would go well with her, but the horse is of smaller scale so had to do an OOF shot of the horse.
She’s my second figure from Movic, and their quality is quite ok, not the best but not the worst either. There are some slight color bleeding, most obvious is the one on her chest armor, other than that the overall quality is quite good.

Nice figure, and the sword is indeed pretty awesome.
Love the back shot of the skirt too XD
I’m not a huge fan of Shunya’s work turned 3D so I havn’t gotten any of them. The Horse looks pretty cool actually XD
I also agree on the face, some angels makes it look like she’s about to crack her mind and cut your head off!
Distraction is an effective form of defense, hence the lack of armor on female fantasy characters. Hehe, I canceled Non-Non as well, though I didn’t replace her with a different one.
very nice figurine, nice sword too :O her “eyes” is a lil bit too big tho :p
I still have no shunya’s figurine, non-non was going to be my first, but canceled her ^^;
@aya~yeah the detail on the sword is really nice and it’s big too. thanks, would be using the horse more in my shots hehe
. She’s actually cute in the illustration ^^
@super rats~hmm you are right on that, as almost all female fantasy characters I have seen are scantily clad.
@ron~haha yeah but most shunya’s figures have big eyes though, serve as good distraction hehe^^. hmm looks like quite a few people I know cancel Non-non.
She has three huge weapons, the sword and the other two try to find out XD. What I like the most in this figure is the sword, Shunya has great ideas to design fantasy weapons, probably he should work or has worked with korean mmorpg game creators
.
The breasts definitely are too round and don’t seem natural to the figure, it looks like someone glued them there, probably one of the reasons why I didn’t bought this figure.
Her body “lines” (check the belly, back and butt) are really nice which makes a figure more human than anime like.
I see Cocona at my local anime store, one with blue hair and I believe the other is pink. I can’t get a figure so scantily clad lol, doesn’t mix well with the others I have, though she is quite sexy ;p. Males need big/fully covered armor to make themselves look big. Females wearing next to nothing makes them seem vulnerable and thats how they can easily trick males and whoop their sorry asses lol.
Sweet pics, thankfully the base isn’t a MUST as that would definitely eat up lots of precious space which you could use to place more figures instead ^^;
I feel non-non and cocona have different qualities and moods though, so actually grabbing both of them wouldn’t be such a bad idea actually ^^; Though Cocona’s sword definitely looks better than non-non’s xD
I want this one: http://www.animexing.com/product-p/4905083075647.htm
(I told you before, I am weird! I even like the peekaboo top… It’s nice though, my fiance and I can be dirty old men togeather :3)
The lesser the armor, the more protection it has to offer. Ask the guys in 300 how the hell did they slay thousands of elite Persian troops with only a shield for protection before they perished.
@Belela~Shunya did do some design on Final Fantasy and as well as other game. haha i guess except for her breast the rest are pretty good proportion
. haha I guess some girls do see the beauty in scantily clad and well endowed figures
that reminds me how cool 300 was, love those fight scenes
@AS~oh there’s a pink hair version, I have never seen that one. hehe yeah female dun need full armor, the less the better ^^
@shino~haha that’s true, with the base I have no where to put her. some how feels that Cocona looks better ^^
@tammie~ah rudy, I skip that actually
@hangmen~less armor less restrictive and easier to move i guess
Maybe I’m an artist at heart, but I just like the beauty of the well-sculpted female form. I think Shunya’s art is in pretty good taste, considering how erotic it may seem…if it wasn’t in good taste I probably wouldn’t care for it.
Beautiful review ! Your picture are better than mine, I find ^^ I use your review link for my presentation ^^ I hope that not disturb you ^^
@Leonia~thanks ^^
