Kamichu ~ Yurie
Yurie is one of those really nice looking figure that I never really plan to get but as usual things doesn’t always goes as plan, especially for figures collectors ^^. There I was at my local hobby store, planning to get the GSC Motoko Kusanagi that I been eyeing for months now, waiting for their yearly sales before I purchase her. The thing with their sales is, you need to buy two items to get the discount, it can be anything from the shop, but I don’t wanna get some useless stuff though so another figure it is.
So I was looking around for another figure to buy and I remembered they have a Yurie in-stock. I went around the shelf a few times and still I didn’t see her, was about to give up and get something else but decided to try one more time, and there she was sitting right in the middle of two shelf. I have no idea how I manage to didn’t see her there haha, and that’s how I ended up with Yurie in my collection, it’s a good thing btw XD.
Yurie probably have the most elaborate base of all the figures in my collection, with the partial stairs, the cat, the can pusher and the I have no idea what that is and the partial leaves. That’s probably why she’s quite expensive, and also she’s 1/7 scale, which I only found out few days later XD.
It was fun taking shots at that the cat, the can pusher and the I have no idea what that is using my macro lens. Wouldn’t have been able to capture the detail with my zoom lens.
Detail and paint job on both the figure and base are exellent. Except for the usual seam lines on her hair, Yurie is well sculpted. The base it self have is nicely weathered and detailed, even the three cute little guys are sculpted in detailed.
Oh yeah Yurie is from the anime Kami-chu! ~Kamisama de Chugakusei and despite her being just a student, she’s actually a goddess. Well that’s all I know about the anime, have never watch it XD. Kinda interested in watching the anime after I got her figure though.

Yurie is definitely a great looking figure, really glad that I still manage to get her even though she was release quite sometime back. I guess the high price put off a lot of people from buying, but with the discount during the sales the price wasn’t that bad ^^.

Nice job with this, I like the figure but I haven’t watched enough of the series to make me want to get it.
The seamlines are tad distracting but somewhat hard to notice anyway.
she’s nice.. but the price tag.. lucky u can get her during the sale.. lol…
i read somewhere u got kallen too? skipped her coz bought too many other figures.. don ever let me see her.. i scared i will change my mind.. haha

Haaa~ Yurie the little goddess. It was hard for me to cancel my order for this figure, but I just cannot afford to grab everything =_=
The base is sure awesome, that’s why I was tempted to add this figure to my collection, especially the cute little cat hehe. But actually, I am not that found of Kamichu!, go gave it a miss.
If I remember well, this “odd” things are Kami, and Yurie can see them since she’s a goddess.
I love this figure, her cheerful expression makes me smile and the detailed base is just fantastic. Just never picked her up because of the price and I’m trying to stick to my rule of not getting characters I don’t know >_>;;
Was in Penang during the XL-shop sale, I saw a pic where someone bought Yamato’s Simca for 50% off, nearly wanted to cry XD Glad you managed to snag some bargains!
It made me sad that so many people passed on this figure, so well done and cute. Okay, I’m a little biased since Kamichu! was one of my favorite series.
She’s so cute! I want one, but I don’t really want to go out of my way to get her now that she’s been out for a while… :/ Do you know of any online shops where she is still available?

The same happened with me and Shana,I looked through the shelves twice for something to buy and didn’t see her then she just appeared out of no where ^^. As if I was destined to get her lol.
