Of Bats, Butterflies and Roses ~ Gun and Sword
Added a third Ignis to my Ignis collection recently, this time from Yamato and based on the illustration by Ress. She’s non-scaled and sculpted by G.O. (Cerberus Project), the one I got is the normal version, there’s two other version of this figure, a red and black version and a limited edition with transparent red hair.
The costume for this Ignis is different from the previous two Ignis that I owned, Max Factory Ignis and Alter Ignis. She comes with a slightly transparent black base with 3 butterflies printed on it and a tongue like thing. Besides her red katana, she also wield a machine gun.
What attracted me to this Ignis is her dynamic pose, the leaping with gun blazing pose is just magnificient. Sculpt wise she’s not as good as Max Factory or Alter version, the paint job is decent and has a very nice shine to it.
The thing she’s attached to is probably some sort of demon/monster with tongue and fangs, well she’s from a demon fighting eroge after all.
Her trusty katana…
and a machine gun added for good measure.
Only complaint I have for this figure is probably the two cross strap on her back that actually broke cause they are quite think and made of hard plastic instead of soft bendable type. The strap is fixed now, but I probably won’t cast her off due to the risk of breaking the strap again, oh yeah she’s cast-off able, both her vest and her skirt.
This is actually quite a spur of the moment shots, I was testing how she would look against a black background and was using my flash wirelessly for the lighting. The few test shots came out pretty good and before I know it, I have a full series of shots for her.
I was shooting using around f/7.1 – f/11, shutter speed at 80-250 and using my flash on manual for lighting. Everything was done handheld which is cool and less hassle than when using a tripod. This is only possible when I just need a single light source though, and I wanna keep the background dark, since I only have 1 flash. Maybe it’s time to save up for some more flash XD.

I don’t know this character but i can say she is gorgeous. What attracts me initially is her leaping pose. The base for her is very nicely done too. XD
Ah, I remember this figure… I kinda prefer her over my other Ignis figure; her standing there is just a little bland.
Ah I see you got this figure. I saw it on sale in HS… thought about it. Dynamic pose, tentacle monster base, hawt character… but I can’t justify impulse buying anymore >_< Great pictures Val ^_^
Great photos. I do not like this version of ignis, but it is beautifully enhanced by your work.
Ouch for the broken strap… glad it’s fixable. The pose by this Ignis is great . I would have been tempted if I didn’t already have Alter’s Ignis. And your photos always look so nice.
best part of this figurine are the pose and the base, nice angle of photos too
i always need a tripod for this kind of photo, I have a very shaky hand
@Chappy~yeah I was attracted to her leaping pose as well. I didn’t really know the base will turns out that way so it was a nice surprise
@Zeroblade~haha dynamic pose is always more interesting
@lightningsabre~yeah she was on sale at HS but I got her at normal price though. thanks ^^
@lylibellule2008~thanks ^^
@ELTboy~yeah manage to fix it ^^, thanks
@ron~yeah what makes her stands out from other Ignis is her pose. I was shooting at higher shutter speed so didn’t really need a tripod.
