Rizfis Luttiva Mente ~ リゼフィス・ルテティーヴァ・メンテ

Finally the last of the Shuraki girls have arrived, hmm actually she arrived quite sometime ago, just that I didn’t write this post until now xD. At first Rize was my least favourite of the Shuraki girls, but once I got her, she ain’t that bad, but Shall and MeiFeng are still my fav though.

This batch of photos was uploaded like a few weeks ago, so those that frequent my Flickr has probably already seen them. I only shot the battle damage version and group shots a while ago xD. Experimented with something different in these shots, by using a glass on top of the background paper and placing a flash underneath, I created the glowing effect under the figure, which make the ground looks kinda like ice. Quite like the result that came out from this shoot.

Anyway back to the figure, she came in a suprisingly huge and heavy box, most probably due to her very large and heavy skirt. It’s so heavy that her left foot peg broke off from the base, another collector that I know have the same problem. Is anyone else having this problem as well ? Currently I had her in battle damage clothing to reduce the weight and she’s held by only the peg on her right foot.

The design of her dress is quite nice, with the flowing belt and skirt that make her look more dynamic. I would have prefer that her left hand can really hold the halberd though, instead of resting on her breast xD.

Definitely looks moe~ xD.

A few battle damage shots.

Group shot of all the Shuraki girls, kinda hard to place them properly for the shoot though, with all the weapons and flowing skirt haha.

After I received Rize, I read in Dannychoo.com that there will be a second Shuraki series. Well there are a few more girls in the booklet that looks pretty good if made into figures, but I am not sure whether I’ll be collecting the second series though. Guess I’ll just wait and see.

    Huhu, seeing your Shuraki’s group shoot made me want to take group shoot of my Queens Blade figures, but must wait for the right opportunity (to avoid my family’s detection)

  3. ron~ says:

    nice glowing effect :D

    my riize also broke her pegs… and only 1 peg left which is the one for her right foot also..

    seems like the designer forgot to include her weight when designing the pegs…

    awesomes shots , i love what you did , looks great :)

    Everyone i know has the base of Rize broke so you’re not alone i guess …

    It’s always sad to know when a base peg brakes, perhaps a metal rod would be easier to hold her. I’m impressed that Nida doesn’t have weight problems because of that super sized gun.

  6. Panther says:

    The glass and glow effect to make it look like ice is damn awesome.

  7. valho says:

    @arcium~thanks, hope u get urs soon
    @Exiled_Gundam~ur group shot would be harder than mine to take haha
    @ron~thanks, yeah she’s back heavy, especially with her skirt on. Now I just use some books on the shelf to keep her balance
    @James~thanks ^^. Yeah seems like a common problem with Rize, maybe should send GSC an email bout it haha
    @Belela-san~Yup a metal rod like MeiFeng would be better. Nida gun is quite light and she’s balance quite well. Rize skirt makes her back heavy.
    @Panther~thanks ^^

  8. super rats says:

    Ohhhh nice. Like how it makes her skirt look like ice in some shots. I haven’t unboxed mine yet…sad to hear peg breakage is a problem.

  9. Luckily I only display my Shuraki figures in Battle Damaged lol

  10. valho says:

  14. Q says:

    Hey Valho it’s been so long since I’ve last visited your place (which was in December!), and and after those 7 months I think I will be able to get myself the Max Factory Shana that i have been looking for in a reasonable price. Hopefully it will arrive sometime this month~

    I’m impressed that you’ve collected the Shuraki set! I don’t know much about it, but I admit that I like Mei Feng the most; the first all-grey prototype image via a magazine already drew my attention, but I didn’t get it at the end.

    Rize doesn’t draw my attention to an extend that I didn’t even know when she was out, but nevertheless you’ve done a good job on the lighting there. It suits the atmosphere and her style very well.

  15. suneo says:

    wow that effect is very very neat! Looks awesome against her skirt. And it’s a very nice blue color you chose too :P I want an external flash now :( lol

    Sucks that she broke though. I’ll remember to be more gentle with some of my stuff next time :x I can get pretty rough with them if I can’t figure out off the bat how to play around with them lol

  16. Sora says:

    Damn, the way you made your figurine photoshoot stuffs thingy whatever look so awesome ! lol.

    And i’m jeles you got a pwo camera. ;A;

    Oh btw, I linked you in my blog. ;p

  17. valho says:

    @Q~Welcome back Q, wow that’s a long time hehe. Hope you’ll be able to get your Shana soon ya ^^. Thanks ^^
    @suneo~thanks, yeah too bad it broke but fortunately she still can be attached to the base, just put something behind her to keep her from leaning back. I don’t usually play with them unless they are those articulate type ^^.
    @Sora~haha thanks, added you to my blogrolls as well.

  18. radiant says:

    Excellent lighting! That blue glow really matches with the environment, and really makes that dress stand out! You’re always so resourceful with your stuff!

  19. I am so jealous you have Char…I can’t find her anywhere :( *want*

  20. valho says:

    @radiant~thanks ^^
    @Pure Trance~hmm GSC didn’t re-release Char for some reason

  21. rain says:

    got to agree… love the lighting in the first pic.

  22. valho says:

    @Pure Trance~hope u can get her
    @rain~thanks ^^

  23. Blowfish says:

    Wow! Im really amazed about your Ice effect.It looks awesome.
    Im glad that i heard about the Peg problem BEFORE she arrived.I changed her into the battledamaged outfit the moment i unboxed her and shes still doing fine.
    Too bad i like her in the standart outfit more >_<

  24. Shin says:

    It pains me knowing that I played a part in giving this baby away as a prize to someone who probably didn’t appreciate it anyway.

  25. Saku says:

    Very nice and creative lightning effect on the photos. T.T So many figures that I want.

  26. Athrun says:

    My Alter Saber Swimsuit PVC’s pegs eventually broke off last year after the tension inside the narrow holes of her feet.

    I have superglued her feet to the base for now. However, I have read that drilling a screw into the peg deep enough inside the hole, you can yank it out.

    Some people recommendations also say that drilling a screw-like rod inside the stand/base big enough for the holes in any figures feet can act as replacements :)

    I like your figures too.

  27. valho says:

    @Blowfish~thanks, good to hear yours doing fine :)
    @Shin~wanted to keep for urself ah xD
    @Saku~thanks
    @Athrun~I am planing to expoxy the peg back to the base, hopefully this will work
