The Last Love Song on This Little Planet
Chise from the anime, manga and OVA Saishū Heiki Kanojo or She, the Ultimate Weapon. It’s actually a love story even though the main character herself is a military weapon, but the war is never really the focus, instead the story focus on Chise and Shuji reaction to her ever increasing power and their relationship.
I got this figure during Hobby Search restock, she was restock quite sometime ago I think, and I only found out when I decided to go through Kotobukiya listing at Hobby Search page by page. So it’s good to go through the listing once in a while you might just find something good ^^. She’s not a really small figure, same height as MF Mikuru, but her box is very compact as her base is place behind her instead of at the bottom of the box. This allows Kotobukiya to make the box a lot smaller, probably the smallest figure box I have.
She comes with a base that looks like rubbles on the ground, but I kinda wish that they didn’t place the custom base on top of a plain white base though.
I remembered vaguely at the last episode near the end during Chise final battle, a lot of stuff starts to punch through the clouds, so this setting is somewhat based on that. I could be wrong since it’s been a long time since I watch the anime ^^, but then I think this is a good setting for her photo shoot. The return of the iron rods hehe.
For a 2 years old figure, she’s pretty well sculpted and painted, though it’s not as detail as recently release figures. I am not sure if she resemble her anime counterpart since I can’t remember what she really looks like in the anime ^^.
The wings are detachable but she’ll look funny without the wings though since her clothes are torn at the back. The wing are painted pearl white with a slight metallic looks to it, very nice effect.

This last two shots was added when I remembered that I bought a wrapping paper specifically for her photoshot. The paper looks like cracked ground, so I think it’s quite suitable for her. Couldn’t think of what else to put so I just reuse some bricks ^^.
Overall a very well made figure though not as detail as it could be, but can be choosy since I think this was the only figure of her that was release. A very nice figure added to my growing collection and it’s cheap too ^^.

This figure is a great find! =) Great setting for her, both the metal rods and grungy background work. I can’t say much about the likeness as it’s been a long time since I last watched Saikano, but she looks nicely detailed despite being a rather old figure.
Your Chise purchase sounds alot like mine. I found her browsing Toyslogic inventory. I guess people pass poor Chise by. I think she’s a lovely figure even though her face isn’t quite perfect.
Great pics as usual. I love the cloud effects. The metal rods make a triumphant return and the bircks are always a welcome addition to a shoot ^^
The mat watch continues…
never seen this figure before – shes cute!
Cloud effects are amazing! And cracked ground make a nice background indeed.
Though never seen this figure before, and never heard about the anime she’s from ^^;
Cute, but nor really my type hehe.
@byaku-chan~thanks, yeah surprisingly detail for a 2 years old figure
@aka_ugly~i guess it pays to lurk around once in a while ^^. the mat will be around sooner or later ^^
@danny~i think she probably pass under the radar not being really famous and all, not to mention an old anime
@lu-k~thanks, it’s quite an old anime, I wouldn’t know bout it either if my friend didn’t lend me his copy.
You really are the best at scanning for restocks ^^b That ability of yours never ceases to amaze me ;P
Really sweet pictures you’ve taken. The figure actually looks better than the real figure I see in the shop and I gotta take a second look at the figure again later when I head to the shop. Very nice work
I saw some episodes of the manga, but didn’t like it too much. I heard the manga is better (like most of the time). Also, there is a live action movie, but from what my brother told me, it sucked^^
Your photos rock. The clouds effects is surely an eyecatcher and brings up the theme of the anime quite well.
@shino~hehe something I learn from aka_ugly ^^. She does looks good, you probably should take another closer look ^^
@David~yeah I have just recently seen the movie version, it’s basically a shorter version of the anime. I don’t have the manga for this but from what I read online, the anime basically follow the manga exactly except for the ending part. Hehe thanks, i really like the cloud effect, they came out nicely
NiCe TOy LookZ REaL!! hHEHE! .. Mhwa!!
