Anime Hanabi Fest ’09 @ BTS
Went to the Anime Hanabi Fest @ Berjaya Times Square last Sunday, it was a 2 days event but since TFM display is only on Sunday I didn’t went for Day 1. Reach there around 9.30am+ with my friends and start to set up the figures display. The display is quite small this time around, I just contributed 7 of my more recently aquired figures. The event start at 10am according the schedule but I can’t be sure if it really started at 10am since there was no one on the stage announcing the start of the event.
Not much crowd early in the day so I just hang around Little Akiba booth with other TFM-ers.
A few of them started to play WS card game, there was a WS competition later in the day, but I wasn’t around when it started though.

Probably notice by now there’s not much cosplayer photos, well there wasn’t much cosplayers on Day 2, most came on Day 1 for the solo competition. Also I was out of the event hall for a few hours, checking out stuff at a nearby camera shop, more on that later in the next post =)
Anyway these are the only cosplay photos I manage to shoot, the rain outside makes a decent backdrop.

Event ended maybe around 7pm I think, with some band singing on the stage and almost killing my eardrums. Seriously all this band members that played in anime event should really learn to adjust the volume to their instrument and vocals, we want to hear anime songs, not loud musics and shouting. Also pity the vocalist trying to make his/her voice heard over the loud instruments. This seems to be a common problem in all anime event I went to, it’s something that really should be improve upon.
